DDRN held a seventh extraordinary General Assembly (GA) on December 14, 2011. A new board was elected with the purpose of continuing DDRN as a voluntary organisation. You can read about the GA here.

OCTOBER 20, 2011: NEWS ON EUROPEAN DEVELOPMENT RESEARCH - A glimpse from the DSA-EADI conference 

Read the highlights by Søren Jeppesen, member of DDRN, who attended the conference organised by The Development Studies Association (DSA) and the European Association of Development Research and Training Institutes (EADI) in York, UK from September 19-22. Under the title: 'Rethinking Development in an Age of Scarcity and Uncertainty. AUGUST 25, 2011: NEW DDRN PUBLICATION!
Producing knowledge for development together - Lessons from the Danish Development Research Network

How can researchers and practitioners from the global North and South work together to create needs-based knowledge that can contribute to sustainable development?

When approaching the closure of the second grant by Danida to DDRN, the (now former) secretariat staff has compiled a report to gather the main lessons from four and a half years of running a knowledge network aiming at promoting development through increased integration of research and practice. JULY 8, 2011: DANIDA RESEARCH PORTAL LAUNCHED!

Danida is launching a new online portal today, July 8, 2011, that was developed by DDRN with assistance from CABI and the Nordic Institute of Asian Studies (NIAS). The portal will be hosted by the Danida Fellowship Centre (DFC) and provides access to information on research projects funded by Danida. The portal includes projects supported through The Consultative Committee for Development Research (FFU), including pilot research projects, as well as support to centres, networks, platforms, and support to international research.
