About Krish

Krish is an Erasmus Mundus Scholar from India, currently doing his Master’s in Sustainable Tropical Forestry at the University of Copenhagen. He’s basically a forester-cum-social scientist with particular interests in forest conservation, sustainable livelihoods, and forest nutrition. He has experience working in the Western Ghats of India, the high mountains of Nepal, the woodlands of the UK and the Savannas of Ghana. Momentarily, he’s also working as a global intern at the Pure Trust Social Investors Foundation, Ghana, where he does social research on shea-based livelihoods and community development.  As a budding researcher, his research mostly revolves around sustainable livelihoods and how people cope with the unprecedented changes in climate.

The UNSDGs that Krish is focused on are:

  • UNSDG 2: Zero hunger
  • UNSDG 11: Sustainable cities and communities
  • UNSDG 13: Climate action
  • UNSDG 15: Life on land

About Megan

Megan is a born and raised South African interested in the intersection of technology and society, and bridging the gap between academic research and global development. Megan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cape Town, and is currently studying her Master’s in Sustainable Biotechnology at Aalborg University Copenhagen. Her specific research interest is plastic, and she will focus on the idea of ‘sustainable plastic’ in her upcoming Master’s thesis. Megan has work experience in academic research, but hopes to work with NGOs to implement sustainable, circular, and nature-inspired design and practices in the world.

  • UNSDG 9: Industry, innovation and infrastructure
  • UNSDG 12: Responsible consumption and production
