Danish Development Research Network (DDRN.dk) invites you to a seminar with the aim to inspire students and young people at large to actively contribute to a more sustainable lifestyle.
In an online workshop, you will get a chance to hear about the latest research on sustainable food choices and about core aspects in the current state of our consumption. We will together with academics and a local NGO, learn about ways we may change our lifestyles to become more sustainable members of society. By hearing from people with both practical and academic experience we hope that you will be motivated to conduct your own study or develop a framework for how you can act and be a part of our shared sustainable future!
We are lucky to host Armando Perez-Cueto, Associate Professor at the Department of Food Science, University of Copenhagen. He is conducting research on topics such as consumers, food related behaviours, plant-based consumption, and how to ease healthier, sustainable, and ethical food choices. We also look forward to learning from Irene Valentina Di Lauro who will talk about her experience and her work at the Danish NGO FællesSkabet Free Fridge. Irene holds a master’s degree in Integrated Food Studies. She has started various projects to fight food waste and to bring civil society together.
The webinar will focus on the link between research and civil society engagement, and we invite you to take part in a constructive discussion starting from your own experiences! We also invite you to consider how you may celebrate this and future holiday seasons in a more sustainable fashion.
