Global South researchers in Denmark: Ten cases of brain gain for sustainable development

is a collection of interviews published on DDRN.dk. Global South PhD students visiting Denmark tell about their research e.g. on combating plant pests and protecting indigenous plants. Also, those who became faculty in their country of origin following a PhD in Denmark several years back explain how research collaboration, e.g. on biodiversity, is maintained with the host university until today.

The interviews raise general issues, e.g. the work situation of the returning Global South researcher; wider impacts gained from the international exposure beyond the scientific results; and the challenges in working life careers in the course of Global South/North academic exchange.
