Development Science Shop – Organisations’ section

The Development Science Shop is a platform where Danish NGOs, grassroots organisations and consultancy firms can post proposals for study topics and thereby reach students who have an interest in investigating issues that originate in challenges related to development in practice.

It provides the opportunity for interested organisations and firms to have students carry out smaller studies within an relevant area of their choice, to connect to the younger segment of the academic resource base in Denmark and potentially gain a more theoretical view on their own work. Furthermore, it allows for students to work with a well-defined topic producing results that can be applied in the daily work of development practitioners.

DDRN will facilitate the initial contact to students and the primary sorting of applications so that organisations/firms will only have to choose from a limited selection of students. After the initial contact has been made, DDRN will no longer be involved in the further process. However, we will provide advice if needed.

Proposals are disseminated broadly to students at relevant educational institutions two times a year around the beginning of a new semester. However, we will gladly make new proposals available on our site for students to view them at any time of the year.
