Master of International Development at University of Canberra
The Master of International Development is an interdisciplinary course that examines the theory and practice of development in a global context. The program focuses on three linked themes relevant at both the local and global levels: professional practice, sustainable development, and development management. The aim of the course is to produce graduates who combine a critical understanding of relevant development theories with the practical skills required to plan, implement, and monitor development projects successfully.
Australia Awards in Africa
As part of the Australian Government’s increasing engagement in Africa, Australia Awards in Africa (AAA) offer study opportunities at post-graduate level to candidates from eligible African countries. The scholarships are offered at Masters level for up to two years as well as short professional development courses of up to three months. There are also limited opportunities for PhD studies in Agriculture-related disciplines.

Vær med til at lave Danmarks nye udviklingspolitik [in Danish]
I det første halvår af 2012 skal den danske regering formulere en ny strategi for det danske udviklingssamarbejde. Strategien dækker de omtrent 15 milliarder kroner, Danmark årligt fordeler i form af udviklingsbistand. Den strategi ønsker udviklingsminister Christian Friis Bach at forankre i en debat, alle danskere kan deltage i.
Fra 9. – 31. januar sætter politiken.dk i samarbejde med Udenrigsministeriet og otte eksperter Danmarks udviklingspolitik til debat: Hvilke områder skal vi prioritere? Og hvem skal pengene gå til? Debatten og læsernes bedste input vil indgå i regeringens arbejde. Udviklingsminister Christian Friis Bach deltager løbende i debatten.
Harambe Entrepreneur Alliance (HEA)
HEA a platform for young African social, political, and business entrepreneurs educated in leading colleges and universities in Asia, Europe and North America. Young African students at universities can benefit from these opportunities and their mentorship program, and can be nomited to the programme here.
World Bank eAtlas of Global Development. The World Bank eAtlas of Global Development maps and graphs more than 175 thematically organized indicators for over 200 countries, letting you visualize and compare progress on the most important development challenges facing our world.
World Bank eAtlas of Gender. In connection with the 'World Development Report 2012: Gender Equality and Development', the World Bank has developed an user-friendly, interactive electronic atlas that allows users to map and graph dozens of gender indicators over time and across countries.
Opslag: Nyt medlem til Projektpuljens Bevillingsudvalg [in Danish]. Projektrådgivningen søger et nyt medlem til Projektpuljens Bevillingsudvalg med start 1. december 2011. Organisationer/institutioner kan indstille en eller flere erfarne folk fra deres organisation/institution til posten. Projektpuljen har 3 ansøgningsrunder om året. Opgaven omfatter gennemlæsning og vurdering af 6-10 ansøgninger pr. medlem pr. ansøgningsrunde, samt deltagelse i afgørelse af 40-55 ansøgninger pr. runde.

Its broad coverage includes legal, political, economic, gender-related and environmental topics, and its content is organised by both country and theme. A forum for diverse voices, Think Africa Press works with African universities and local correspondents as well as with international experts.
Call for registration: Researchers for Development Analysis (REDA)
Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) and the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs have developed a shared database to strengthen the role of research in Swedish development cooperation, by increasing the accessibility to existing experts in all academic disciplines for Sida and the Ministry for Foreign Affairs.
Researchers that are interested in contributing to strengthening the role of research in Swedish development cooperation are encouraged to register regardless of academic discipline or focus area of research.

21st Century Research Collaboration Workshop. Report from workshop organised by Environment Research Funders Forum and UK Collaborative on Development Sciences, October 9, 2009, by Linda Waldman, Institute of Development Studies. The workshop discussed how funders can organise research that is rigorous, more globally constructed, user-oriented, capacity enhancing and, ultimately, more influential.
European Perspectives on International Development. Report of seminar hosted in April 2009 by Spanish partner organisations of the European Association of Development Research and Training Institutes (EADI) – FRIDE, Real Instituto Elcano, CIDOB and ICEI – dealing with a wide variety of topics in international cooperation and development studies.
Science with Africa. Presentations, recommendations, final report etc. from the conference in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on March 3 – 7, 2008. The conference was organized by the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), the African Union Commission (AUC) and their partners.
