NEW: Call for proposals: Pilot Programme for Financing Adaptation related Climate Change Projects

CTI PFAN’s Pilot Programme for Financing Adaptation related Climate Change Projects seeks to identify promising projects which have the capability of raising private sector financing. Selected projects will be offered free professional advice on project development and structuring and will be connected with investment through CTI PFAN’s global investment networks. The best projects will also be showcased at an Investor Forum to be held later in 2013.

The UNEP Risø Centre on Energy, Climate and Sustainable Development, part of DTU Management Engineering, invites applications for a Ph.D. study on methodologies for assessment of sustainable development impacts of nationally appropriate mitigation actions (NAMAs) in developing countries.

Call for applicants to IPPC Scholarship Programme

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) calls for applications for their Scholarship Programme. The objective of the programme is to build capacity in the understanding and management of climate change in developing countries. Proposals should focus on one of the following fields of study: Socio-economic modeling related to climate change, underlying science of climate change, or climate change and water.

Call for Phase 1 Applications for Grants for Development Research in 2012

The Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs calls for Phase 1 applications for grants for development research and capacity strengthening in developing countries in 2012. The objective of the support is to generate new knowledge and strengthen research capacity in order to promote the overall objective of the Danish development cooperation to reduce poverty and support sustainable development. More information on the call, deadlines, application forms and guidelines will be available in mid-October.

Nordic Climate Facility announces third call for proposals

The third call for proposals under the Nordic Climate Facility (NCF) has been launched. The third call has a single designated theme focusing on “Innovative low-cost climate solutions with focus on local business development”. The theme encourages business development and business opportunities which provide goods and services that will help reduce carbon dioxide emissions and facilitate climate change adaptation. A strong positive development impact, in addition to expected climate change benefits, is expected from successful applicants.
