NEW: AfricaAdapt’s Knowledge Sharing Innovation Fund

This fund seeks to support small-scale projects that offer innovative and practical ideas and strategies for communicating and sharing between different stakeholder groups, opinions concerning vulnerability to climate change, impacts and adaptation responses. It is aimed at initiatives proposed by African research groups, community-based organisations, co-operatives, networks and other local institutions in either urban or rural locations.

Expression of interest can be submitted from August 9 to 20, 2010.

Global Environmental Leadership Fellows - University of Minnesota

The University of Minnesota’s Institute on the Environment (IonE) is searching for  postdoctoral candidates to fill four new Global Environmental Leadership Fellows positions for research on global issues such as land use and ecosystem management and change, agriculture and food security, freshwater resources and water security, climate change adaptation, links between population & development.

Interessetilkendegivelse 2010 til pilotforskningsprojekter med Vietnam [in Danish]

Danmark indgik i 2008 en forskningsaftale med Vietnam og klimaforandring, inkl. anvendt teknologi, er valgt som forskningstema for hele den 3-årige periode.

Der er i 2010 tale om projekterne “Impacts of climate change and adapting bio-security measurers for Northern Viet Nam’s aquaculture” og “Investigation on adaptation technology of water treatment and recycle for mitigation the impacts of climate change”

Danske forskningsinstitutioner har nu mulighed for at tilkendegive deres interesse i at indgå i et samarbejde med de tanzanianske forskningsinstitutioner om de pågældende projekter.

Benefit-sharing Fund: Call for Proposals 2010 ´

The Call for Proposals 2010 under the Benefit-sharing Fund of the International Treaty, which will invest more than USD 10 million in projects globally, is now opened for its biennial cycle 2010-2011. The thematic focus of the Fund is helping ensure sustainable food security by assisting farmers to adapt to climate change through a targeted set of high impact activities on the conservation and sustainable use of plant genetic resources for food and agriculture.
