NEW: Fundraising and partnership development training for researchers and research managers

This 2-day interactive training, organised by ResearchInUse, is designed to develop the skills of the participants so that they can manage their own fundraising & partnership development activities or contribute to the efforts of their organisations. It is relevant for research staff of research institutes, universities and NGOs from all research areas.

NEW: RIU training: How to diversify your funding for research and innovation with alternatives?

A ResearchInUse (RIU) course designed to introduce existing alternative funding possibilitities and develop skills of the participants so that they can introduce alternative funding strategies for their own organisation. This course is relevant for staff of organisations involved in research and innovation.

NEW: African European Research Infrastructure Cooperations Seminar: Towards a stronger research infrastructure cooperation between Europe and Africa

This PAERIP seminar will present the first findings of the PAERIP studies and analyses as well as explore options for enhancing research infrastructure cooperation between Europe and Africa. It will bring together key policy-makers, research managers, funders, scientists and other stakeholders from both regions and create a platform for policy dialogue on research infrastructures.

18th SASA Congress: Knowledge, Technologies and Social Change

The theme of the next The South African Sociological Assiociation's (SASA) annual congress is Knowledge, Technologies and Social Change. The 2012 SASA congress will allow participants to focus on some of the interrelationships between knowledge, technologies, social and economic change, including the roles of universities in promoting, analysing and contesting technologies. EADI Masterclass: How to Evaluate and Improve your Social Media Presence?

This European Association of Development Research and Training Institutes (EADI) Masterclass will explore three dimensions of evaluating Web 2.0 strategies: (1) Evaluating the effectiveness of the strategy; (2) Evaluating the relevance of the strategy in relation to the organisation's goals; and (3) Evaluating the impact of Web 2.0 strategies on intended outcomes in the context of development projects and programmes.
