FAU-DDRN Public Meeting: What can you do with your education and research in development achieved in Denmark?

Thursday 7 November 2013, 16.30-18.30 - Copenhagen Business School (CBS) Copenhagen. In cooperation with the Association of Development Researcher in Denmark (FAU), DDRN held a public meeting with presentations by Lasse Møller (DANIDA), Bente Ilsoe (DANIDA Fellowship Centre), David Christensen (Access2Innovation) and Arne Wangel (DTU and DDRN). After the presentations, there was a seminar discussion and a Needs Assessment was conducted. Dialogue on Aid Interventions in Value Chains: Recent experiences and their implications for an aid strategy

Wednesday 29 February 2012, 16-17.45 - Hånværksrådet, Islands Brygge, Copenhagen. In cooperation with The Danish Federation of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, the DDRN Working Group on Global Value Chains held a dialogue meeting with presentations by Lars Christian Oxe (DANIDA) and Jane Bech Hansen (NIRAS). Conference: Global Value Chains and Sustainable Development

May 24-25, 2011 - Technical University of Denmark (DTU). Khalid Nadvi; Senior lecturer at University of Manchester and Joost Oorthuizen, Director of Dutch Sustainable Trade Initiative (IDH), led the discussions on GVC analysis both from a theoretical and a practical perspective. While the conference brought together faculty from several research communities in Denmark, a main conclusion of the conference was the call for extending the scope of GVC analysis through an inter-disciplinary (re-)invention of research fields. DDRN as a voluntary association - Brainstorming meeting

Thursday May 12, 2011 - University of Copenhagen, Department of Geography & Geology. On the background of the fact that Danida funding for the network will end by June 30, 2011, some members have indicated willingness to engage in carrying on some key activities on a voluntary basis. This was discussed at this meeting, where working groups were established in view of presenting proposals at the DDRN General Assembly on June 15, 2011.
