Dialogue on Aid Interventions in Value Chains: Recent experiences and their implications for an aid strategy Conference: Global Value Chains and Sustainable Development May 24-25, 2011 - Technical University of Denmark (DTU). Khalid Nadvi; Senior lecturer at University of Manchester and Joost Oorthuizen, Director of Dutch Sustainable Trade Initiative (IDH), led the discussions on GVC analysis both from a theoretical and a practical perspective. While the conference brought together faculty from several research communities in Denmark, a main conclusion of the conference was the call for extending the scope of GVC analysis through an inter-disciplinary (re-)invention of research fields. DDRN as a voluntary association - Brainstorming meeting Thursday May 12, 2011 - University of Copenhagen, Department of Geography & Geology. On the background of the fact that Danida funding for the network will end by June 30, 2011, some members have indicated willingness to engage in carrying on some key activities on a voluntary basis. This was discussed at this meeting, where working groups were established in view of presenting proposals at the DDRN General Assembly on June 15, 2011.
