Meeting presenting new network initiative on climate change to promote research cooperation and North-South knowledge sharing“Understanding the linkages between climate change, human health, water and food security: Research and knowledge sharing for Southern Africa” was the topic for a workshop held in Cape Town, South Africa - February 18-20, 2009 organised and financed by: DBL, DDRN, DWF and Enreca Health in cooperation with several research institutions from Southern Africa. 40 participants from Southern Africa and Denmark attended this workshop and it was concluded with the establishment of a network for cooperation on climate change research in and with the SADC region, and the participants elected an Interim Steering Committee for this initiative.
