Adaptation to climate change in Least Developed Countries – challenges, experiences, and ways forward

Date: March 12, 2009 - 11:00-15:30
Venue: Copenhagen, Denmark

Organised by the three Danish research networks: Danish Water Forum (DWF) Danish Research Network for International Health (ENRECAHEALTH), and DDRN, as a parallel session under the scientific congress "Climate Change: Global Risks, Challenges and Decisions" organised by the International Alliance of Research Universities (IARU) in connection with the UN Conference on Climate Change (COP15) at the end of 2009.

The main purpose the session was to contribute research-based input to COP15 on the establishment of effective and pro-poor adaptation strategies in Least Developed Countries. The session was chaired by Head of Centre John Christensen, UNEP Risø Centre on Energy, Climate and Sustainable Development.
