Conference: Global Value Chains and Sustainable Development

The objectives were to:

1. Define current frontiers of GVC research and application of GVC methods in development aid  (two international key note speakers)
2. (Re)map and demonstrate contributions by various DK research communities (selected research paper presentations by DK speakers)
3. Present and discuss key points in DDRN review of selected guidelines
4. Based on 2-3 GVC cases (e.g. coffee), discuss selected aspects of the impacts of GVC dynamics on social and economic development in local and national contexts
5. Launch DDRN GVC Working Group Website (webcasting the conference)
